A 30-year-old cleric, Sayed Ahmad, on Wednesday had his nose
and ears cut off by the parents of a 12-year-old Afghanistan girl he
sexually abused.
Javid
Basharat, Baghlan province police spokesman, who made this known said
the girl's parents did it to avenge the alleged sexual abuse of their
daughter.
He said the incident occurred in northern Afghanistan,
when the couple invited the Ahmad, for dinner in Jar-e-Khoshk village in
Baghlan-e-Markazi district.
"They tied his arms and legs and cut his nose and ears off with a knife" Basharat said.
The force spokesman said the couple and the cleric, who is also the girl's cousin have been arrested.
"The couple immediately confessed they cut his nose and ears off in retaliation for the abuse" Basharat said.
The police spokesman said that Ahmad confessed to abusing the girl three months ago through the use of anaesthesia.
The
chief of women's affairs department for Baghlan province, Khadijah
Yaqeen, said "She did not know what her cousin was doing with her".
"After the abuse, she told her parents and they decided to take the revenge" she said.
