Memorial Held to Pay Respect To Students Lost In South Korean Ferry Disaster

A memorial service held on Wednesday to commemorate over 100 victims who died in ferry crash last week, South Korea.
With 150 officially confirmed dead, there are still 152 people missing among 400 passengers that were on board of the ferry that crashed last week on its way to one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Korea.

A memorial was held in the gymnasium, and it was covered in photos and piles of flowers brought by hundreds of those who wanted to pay their respect. Pictures of those found dead in the horrible tragedy are placed in photo phrames and played as a slideshow on huge plasma screen.

174 people have been rescued the same day the ferry sank, there were no more survivors found.
Over 300 people of those on board were High School students on their way to a field trip.
Students of the same school in Ansan, came to pay their respect.
Some of the people who came to the memorial service still hope that there will be survivors among those missing.
The disaster struck the school that those students were attending, with most of its sophomores missing, the classes were held back and will resume on Thursday. The vice principal of this school who was rescued from that ferry was found dead in 2 days after the accident, he had hanged himself, as it was reported.

The divers continue the search as still there are a lot of rooms where the passengers might be.
The crew members that were rescued from the ferry including the captain that escaped in the only lifeboat that was put on water are under arrest. They are facing criminal charges, according to CNN.
In addition to being accused of leaving the passengers, and telling them to stay on board while they escaped, the reporters claim that the first distress call was received not from the crew, but from one of the students on board of the ship.
